Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance Group (QA), or Review Committee, of the Degree Programme in Food Science includes among its members representatives from the professional sector and public institutions, who provide a constant and valuable point of reference to ensure that the educational project of the programme remains aligned with labour market needs.

The QA Group of the Food Science degree programme meets periodically, approximately twice a year, to define, implement, and monitor quality assurance actions for the programme, to prepare the annual monitoring report and the cyclical review report, and to assess any potential opportunities for improving the educational pathway of the degree programme.

In each Degree Program, a Quality Assurance (QA) Group for the Degree Program is established, with the task of:
  • supporting the review activities for the Degree Program Council; in particular, it prepares the annual monitoring report and the cyclical review report;
  • defining and implementing improvement actions following the review activities, in coordination with the Department QA Manager;
  • monitoring the results of the improvement actions undertaken;
  • analyzing the contents of the annual report of the Department Joint Committee regarding the Degree Program and, more generally, the state of teaching and related services;
  • implementing, in agreement with the Department QA Manager, the actions following the University Quality Policy, in coordination with the Quality Assurance Unit.
The Degree Program QA Group is chaired by the Head of the Degree Program (or a delegate) and must include student representation.
